There is a big shift happening in the media world right now.
TV has become less appealing, Social Media is more popular than ever.
YouTube, Livestreaming, Podcast, and many other formats have taken the world by storm and turned the industry on its head.
Every day new media companies and content creators are producing thousands of hours of raw video footage that needs to be edited and turned into video content.
Right now, there are not enough editors to fill the demand. Every media company out there is looking desperately for editing talent to handle the increasing workload of editing videos.
Editing software, stock footage, music, and assets are available for free, making it easy for anyone to start as a freelance video editor.
If you ever thought you would make a great video editor, then now is the time to make that dream a reality!
My name is Leon, I am a professional social media editor. The past three years as a freelance editor have been wild.
I had the pleasure of editing YouTube videos for popular creators, social videos for big companies, and social media ads for brands such as TUC, OREO, and Kellogg’s.
I almost would have become a traditional editor.
-> Internship at a big TV production company -> Apprenticeship -> Then full time employment
But during my apprenticeship, I saw how much demand there was for social media content and how much freedom it gives you to be a freelancer (Both creatively and financially)
My MacBook and my editing career allow me to go and live anywhere (Right now I live in Montenegro but by the end of the year I might be somewhere else)
Becoming a freelancer was not easy for me. My entrepreneurial mindset and my sales experience helped but still, there were a lot of challenges to overcome. I made this course because I know how hard it can be for creative people to sell themselves or their services. In this course, I will teach you more than just the editing skills that you need as a professional editor.
I will guide you through the process of getting your first client.
